Meet Kathleen Floryan
It's not about me, it's all about you and your property. Whether you are selling or buying, you want service and you want a response. You want your answers now not next week or when I have the time. I work hard so you don't have to. This is all about you finding the home you want to live in or selling the home that has held memories. My past life work experiences provided me a broad base and knowledge to launch a career in the real estate industry.  

Dealing with emotions, social concerns, finances, health issues, family dynamics, personal needs and wants are all integral to a holistic approach to taking care of people as a nurse. These learned transferable skills are what I now bring to every real estate relationship.  

I lived for two years on Anastasia Island in the Marsh Creek Country Club subdivision of St. Augustine. And currently live across from the Ocean in the SouthBeach Subdivision just south of Ponte Vedra Beach and just 10 minutes north of St Augustine. It's a perfect location to participate in both the Ponte Vedra community and the St Augustine communities. Both have so much to offer and I am only 45 minutes to Jacksonville airport for any escape necessary.  

As a team member of Watson Realty Corp Realtors in Ponte Vedra Beach, I am proud to be with the NUMBER 1 Watson office in the STATE of Florida. With over $150 million in sold volume for 2009, I am very well positioned to help sellers and buyers because of the resources available to me. 

Weekly I preview 8-10 new properties to keep up to date with our inventory of homes. I go on caravan with other realtors to view new listings. Daily I review each new property that comes on the market, especially in my specialty area of Ocean Front, Intracoastal and Beach Area homes through the MLS system. I am also familiar with many of the wonderful gated communities for golf and tennis in and around Ponte Vedra Beach to St. Augustine Beach.

I am happily married to Dan. He is happily retired! Dan loves to sail his 38 Ft Hunter in the waters of the intracoastal or the Atlantic ocean. He has been a sailor since he was 10 years old and has taught me to be a good "deck ape". We are members of the St. Augustine Yacht Club and enjoy entering the sailing races. Dan is assuming the role of Vice Commodore for the club in 2010 and next year will be the Commodore. 

We have two dogs, Cinnamon, a chocolate Lab and a new puppy, Bailey, a mix between black lab and mastiff. They tell me he is called a MASTADOR. Yikes. Big feet and a big appetite! 

While I do real estate, 24/7, I still work on an as needed basis in the operating room as a Registered Nurse in Flagler Hospital in the evenings to maintain my skills and license as an RN. With the shortage of nurses, I feel I do need to continue to "give back" with my skills and knowledge.  

I am also member of the St. Augustine Rotary and St. Anastasia Catholic Church and the Ponte Vedra Chamber of Commerce.  

I have two grown sons. Matthew is newly married to a beautiful young lady, Dayna. He is an air traffic controller with the FAA in Atlanta. Matthew is also a USPTA Tennis Pro but has hung up his racquet for a while to pursue his career. Dayna is a marketing specialist for a company marketing AT&T products and services. Matt loves soccer and is currently seeking an adult mens soccer team to workout with in Atlanta.  

My son, Peter, is graduate (June 2008) from the School of Architecture at THE Ohio State University. He is very much the bachelor! Peter sees his future very clearly and has started a new company this year for benefiting the handicapped population with home modifications and safety features. He is also a fantastic bass guitarist and wants to start a rock n roll band. He's a mighty fine chef too.  

Dan and I relocated to Ponte Vedra/St. Augustine area from the Midwest (Ohio/Indiana). I was born in Trenton, New Jersey, grew up in Larchmont, New York with my two brothers, Kevin and Jim Hackett. I spent summers as a child in Rumson, NJ and in Forest Hills/Breezy Point, NY. I received my BS from SUNY at Buffalo, NY and my MS from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. I have lived in Manhattan, Albany, NY, Greenwich and Redding, CT, and raised my children in Columbus, Ohio. I lived for one year in Fort Wayne, IN before smartly moving to Florida!
